Vision Test Guidelines

A clear, step-by-step guide to completing your vision assessment accurately and safely.

About the Assessment

This digital vision screening uses your device camera to estimate visual acuity in a structured, child-friendly format. It is designed to support ongoing monitoring and therapy — not to replace a clinical eye examination.

Before You Begin

How the Test Works

1. Calibration

The application verifies distance and lighting using the camera. On-screen prompts will guide you if any adjustment is needed.

2. Practice Round

A short practice sequence helps you understand how to respond before the scored assessment begins.

3. Visual Acuity Test

Symbols (such as E or C optotypes) are displayed at varying sizes. Indicate the direction of the opening or select the matching symbol. Difficulty adapts based on your responses. Eye-specific presentation is handled automatically — manual eye covering is not required.

4. Eye Tracking

The front camera monitors gaze position to support measurement consistency and reliability scoring.
